Pigmenta

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of Pigmenta, a parent tool for creating story coloring books. Pigmenta is operated by Recite Labs One Member PLC (“Recite Labs”, “we”, “us”), based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The iOS app is distributed on the App Store by Utterware SRL. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Pigmenta lets an adult sign in, curate short stories, generate line-art pages, and hand the device to a child to color. Finished pages are saved to that adult’s family library. Features may change as we improve the app.

2. Who may use Pigmenta

You must be an adult to create a Pigmenta account. A child may color pages only under your supervision, on your signed-in device. Children may not create accounts. You are responsible for how the app is used on your device, including any story text you enter.

3. Your account

You may sign in with email and password or with Google. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you believe someone else is using it, email [email protected].

4. Content you create

You keep the rights you already have in the story text and prompts you type. You grant Recite Labs a license to host, process, and display that content so we can run Pigmenta for you — including sending prompts to our image-generation provider. You must not submit content that is illegal, sexual involving minors, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Images and stories generated by the app are produced by automated models. They may be similar to other outputs. We do not promise that generated art is unique, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose.

5. Our app and brand

Pigmenta, its design, code, catalog stories we supply, and the Recite Labs name remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors). You may not copy, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the service or try to access another person’s account or library.
  • Use generated images to impersonate a real child or to create harmful content.
  • Overload or abuse the generation features.
  • Use Pigmenta for anything unlawful.

7. Availability

We provide Pigmenta “as is.” Generation depends on third-party models and hosting, so pages may fail or look different than you expected. We may suspend the service for maintenance or misuse.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recite Labs and Utterware SRL are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Pigmenta. Our total liability related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Pigmenta in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the app is free).

9. Termination

You may stop using Pigmenta and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms. See Delete your Pigmenta account.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Pigmenta Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Addis Ababa, except where a mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Pigmenta after an update means the new terms apply.
